The Kwara State Government has just endorsed the interim palliative measure to bring ease the burden on civil servants following the announcement of the removal of petrol subsidy by the Federal Government.
Mrs Susan Modupe Oluwole, the State Head of Service, had made the announcement on Monday, June 5, through a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, Murtala Atoyebi.
According to Oluwole, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq had mandated for the workdays be decreased from five to three days per week for every worker in the state, directing all the heads of ministries, departments and agencies, MDAs, in the state to quickly work out a format to show the alternating workdays for each worker under them.
However, Oluwole cautioned the workers to avoid abusing the goodwill of the governor, while warning that the uniform monitoring of MDAs by her office would be intensified to ensure strict compliance with the new directive.
