Barcelona president, Mr. Joan Laporta, has come to the defense of teenage footballer Lamine Yamal after the winger’s 18th birthday party that was criticized and threats of legal action were made against him. The event went over the top in its extravagance and thus launched a protest against it when it was rumored that people who have dwarfism were hired only for the purpose of amusement, which is a law violation in Spain if it is a joke that the human dignity gets rid of.
The Spanish police have confirmed that they are considering starting an investigation, but the situation has calmed down a lot after one of the singers made a public statement that no wrongdoing has occurred. Yamal and his father are the ones that are the first to state that the reports are not true.
Laporta, on the one hand, told Mundo Deportivo, that he did not take the matter very seriously and that his only regret was not going to the party. “He celebrated with friends, influencers, and entertainers,” Laporta mentioned. “It was creative, hilarious, and very tasteful. The only thing that I regret is that I was not there.”
Laporta has indicated that Yamal is a very professional person as Yamal was at training the next day after the incident and he keeps being the best on the pitch.
The case has not reduced Yamal’s enthusiasm – he has become a new Barcelona No 10 shirt bearer, and in addition to new merchandise records, he has firmly planted himself among the brightest young stars in football.
