Hans Hateboer scored his first goal for Atlanta in the 32nd minute to put Atalanta in the lead, Koopmeiners could have doubled the lead for Atlanta, in the 42nd minute, but he missed his penalty.
Lookman came to the rescue as he doubled Atalanta’s lead in the 59th minute to give Atlanta cool 3 points.
Atalanta occupies the second place in the Serie A table, while Empoli ranks 13th on the table with 11 points.
