Chelsea fell to a fourth consecutive home Premier League loss for the first time since 1998, going down 1-0 to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge as the visitors tightened their hold on a top-three spot.
Coming into this game, both teams had lost their last league game. But the Blues looked more eager in the first half to come back from their last defeat. Estêvão was the one who got closer to giving the lead when he hit the post with a great shot; his time was cut short due to injury very soon after. Enzo Fernández also had a great chance to score, shooting very narrowly off target as the hosts tried to gain momentum.

Even though Chelsea were dominating the play, it was United who scored with their only shot on target of the first half through a very well-timed goal by Matheus Cunha after a great assist by Bruno Fernandes.
After the break, the Blues kept on trying to find a solution in attack, hitting the frame of the goal twice through Liam Delap and Noussair Mazraoui, with Cole Palmer also missing a chance to score, but a game-changing goal didn’t come.
The last chance was a near miss by Moisés Caicedo with the game coming to its end, but the Red Devils managed to hold the lead and record a very important win. The win puts even more pressure on the Blues while United are now 10 points ahead, which supports their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
