Many Feared Injured As Suspected Cultist  Clash in Anambra

The problem of Cultism is something that Nigeria is plagued with, Two rival cult groups clashed today in Zik Avenue, Awka, Anambra.

The reason for their clash is unknown, residents of the area had to scamper to safety as they Allegedly shot at each other.

This incident was confirmed by the State Police Spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, who said that the police are trying to locate those cult groups, investigations are currently going on, and the public will get informed if anything comes up.

He said, “Following the sound of gunshots at Zik Avenue, Awka, police patrol has been intensified in Awka. Preliminary information revealed that the cause of the shooting is as a result of cult-related incident/clash.

“The situation is closely monitored and further development shall be communicated.”
