Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad is on the verge of securing the signature of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, as announced by Al Ekhbariya TV on Wednesday.
The Frenchman, a key player in France’s 2018 World Cup victory, will commit to a two-year deal with the option to extend for an additional year.
Once the expected deal is finalized, Kante will join forces with compatriot Karim Benzema, who recently signed a three-year contract with the Saudi champions.
The Chelsea player, who emerged victorious in the 2018 World Cup held in Russia, had series of injuries and was absent for a significant portion of the current season due to a persistent hamstring issue, spanning a duration of six months.
