Lights, camera, campaign trail! Popular Nollywood actor and director Paul Obazele has emerged as the candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the upcoming Edo State governorship election on September 21st.

Obazele, a well-known face in Nigerian films, won the support of his fellow party members at a primary election held in Benin City last Friday. In a show of unity, other candidates vying for the position agreed to back Obazele as their flag bearer.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) closely monitored the election and praised it for being conducted smoothly and fairly.

Now, Obazele is ready to step out of the spotlight and onto the campaign stage! He’ll face off against other candidates from different parties in the race to become the next governor of Edo State.
