A nursing mum who reportedly beats up her stepdaughter, leaving her with marks such as welts on her head and all over her body, has been arrested in Enugu State.
A worried Twitter user had taken to the social media and micro-blogging platform yesterday, October 8, to share a video of the injured minor.
The Twitter user also added that the beating was a normal occurrence in the household and that when the child’s father tries to complain, the woman beats up her husband too.
Meanwhile, NAPTIP has taken the abused stepdaughter into their custody for the time being, pending the time when investigations into the matter will be completed.
