Nollywood veteran Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has voiced her concerns over the state of the Nigerian film industry by contrasting it with Hollywood’s system.
The acclaimed actress shared that during her four years working in Hollywood, she has completed two test projects and now receives monthly residual payments.
In stark contrast, despite dedicating 30 years to Nollywood and featuring in over 310 films, she has never earned any residuals from her work.
The mother of four emphasized the urgent need for Nollywood to develop a more structured framework to support artists and ensure fair compensation.
