Oversabi Aunty’s Cinema Run Takes A New Turn With ₦380m Milestone

Toyin Abraham’s latest Nollywood release, Oversabi Aunty, has recorded an impressive box office performance, earning more than ₦380 million just 11 days after hitting cinemas nationwide.

The latest figures were confirmed by FilmOne Entertainment via its official X (formerly Twitter) page, where the distributor celebrated what it described as an “Oversabi box office takeover.”

According to the update, the film has so far generated ₦382,897,436, with verified earnings counted as of 3 p.m. on December 29, 2025.

FilmOne disclosed that the movie ranked as the second-highest-grossing film of the weekend, further cementing its strong theatrical momentum.

The company also revealed that Oversabi Aunty delivered Nollywood’s second-biggest opening of 2025, pointing to massive audience turnout across cinemas.

Sharing its excitement, FilmOne wrote: “Oversabi Aunty with an Oversabi box office takeover! World Best for a reason!!! Thank you, West Africa, for showing up big!”

The distributor added that cinema responses have been overwhelming, describing the turnout as “unreal,” while urging movie lovers to keep supporting the film by watching it in theatres nationwide.

Oversabi Aunty stars a mix of established and younger talents, including Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, Dike Osinachi (Kidbaby), Toyin Abraham, Jemima Osunde, Adebowale Adedayo (Adedamee), and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, among others.
