On Thursday, September 15, 2022, the Lagos State Ministry of Justice and the state’s Task Force auctioned off Lateef Kolapo’s bus at the Task Force yard in Ikeja, Lagos. The bus’s producer, Temilade Oyegoke, also known as OT Odimayo, television reality star Mercy Eke, and Ejiofor Odo donated to Kolapo.
Ms. Oyegoke, whose most recent film, Ohun Ti Mofe, was just released, gave N200,000 last week with the pledge to soon purchase Kolapo a brand-new bus.
Additionally, N300,000 was given to the man by Eke, who took first place in season 4 of Big Brother Naija in October 2019, and N10,000 was given to the man by Odo.
OT Odimayo said, “The law is the law, but it has to be made with a human face. Kolapo appeared in The Guardian’s Lagos headquarters yesterday with his wife and a family member.
“The government’s conduct is equivalent to seizing a person’s assets by force, but I beg of you, do not do what the government instructs you not to do and do not lend your vehicle to someone who does not abide by the law of the land,” she continued. A new bus should arrive soon.
