The Ogun State Police Command has announced that it has instituted an investigation to disentangle the mystery behind the demise of a yet to be identified National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member in the state.
Reports had it that the body of the deceased NYSC member was found in the Kadesh area of Ogijo.
Police officials said that the body of the corps member was found on Sunday, after residents reported the case at Ogijo Division of the Command.
As at Sunday, January 21, Omotola Odutola, the Police Command spokesperson said it was yet to determine the cause of the National Youth Service Corp member’s death.

The eyewitnesses had raised a loud shout upon sighting a popular local transportation,“keke” plying a route not meant for tricycles. But before the eyewitnesses could properly investigate their suspicion, a lifeless body was discovered.
“The culprits had been a step ahead and disappeared without any trace despite the efforts of the suspicious citizens to catch up with the culprits,” Odutola revealed in the statement.
Police officials were immediately notified and detectives from the Ogijo Division were dispatched to the scene, where they discovered the body of the young male adult, adjudged to be 24 years old.
The corpse was found in an isolated bush, and the area was immediately barred off.
The body has been deposited at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital Mortuary in Sagamu.
