The Police in Ogun State have raised alarm over a serial killer on the loose in Remo area in the Remo-North local government area of the state.

The police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, narrated how the marauder was carrying out his operations in a statement.

“The modus operandi of the serial killer is to pose as a commercial motorcyclist and pick up the targeted victim as a passenger. Afterward, the killer will take the victim- who are almost always women to an isolated area, rape and brutally murder them in cold blood.”

Mr. Oyeyemi has announced that while the police command was doing everything possible to arrest the serial killer, it is imperative to alert the general public so that they can be aware.

For safety reasons, the command has advised potential motorcycle passengers to demand the phone number of motorcycle riders that they board at night.  And to dial the number to find out if the number is authentic as this will provide security agencies with a lead during the investigation in case anything happens to the passenger.

Also, Ogun state Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has promised the general public that all hands were on deck to fish out the serial killer very soon.

He had also advised individuals in the public to cooperate with the police by providing useful information that will assist them to convict the serial killer.
