The insider revealed that Al-Ettifaq extended an offer to Gerrard, who expressed his interest but requested time to carefully evaluate the proposal.
Gerrard, aged 43, departed from his position as coach of Aston Villa last October following a series of unfavourable outcomes. Prior to that, he achieved great success by leading Rangers to the Scottish Premier League title in the 2020-2021 season, where his team remained undefeated.
In the previous season, Al-Ettifaq secured a seventh-place finish in the highly competitive Saudi Pro League.
