The Transmission Company of Nigeria, (TCN) has announced that its staff have begun working on dismantling and re-erecting its collapsed Tower 16 at Gunduwawa Village, Gezawa Local Government of Area of Kano State.
News media had previously reported on how a trailer carrying a container drove into the base of the tower, damaging it in the process and causing outages in several communities.
However, the General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah had in a statement, said the contractor has resumed work at the site even as he made assurances that the tower installation will be finished by August 22, 2024.
