Award-winning singer Tems has secured the Best Recording of the Year honour at the 17th Headies Awards with her powerful track “Burning.”

Featured on her 18-track album Born in the Wild, the song highlights Tems’ remarkable artistry and musical depth.

Tems Shines at Headies 2025, Mother Accepts Award for “Burning”

In a fiercely contested category, Tems prevailed over strong nominees including Seyi Vibez, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr featuring Giveon, Sarz, and Lojay.

Her mother accepted the prestigious award on her behalf during the ceremony, adding a heartfelt touch to the moment.

Since its inception in 2006 as the Hip Hop World Awards, the Headies has evolved into Nigeria’s premier music award show, celebrating outstanding achievements across the industry each year.
