President Bola Tinubu is at present, meeting with notable Niger Delta leader and former agitator, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, at the State House.
The purpose of the meeting is yet to be known at the time of writing this report but it is believed that the meeting with Dokubo is part of the President’s continuous consultations with opinion leaders from the Niger Delta region, to solve the menace of crude oil thievery.
Lets recall that President Bola Tinubu had in the past week repeated his vow to end crude oil theft in the country. To this end, he has been meeting with several key figures from the region, including Dr Dakuku Peterside, the former DG of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, and the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Chief Timi Alaibe.
