Sunderland have completed the signing of former Atletico Madrid defender Reinildo Mandava on a free transfer. The Mozambican international, who spent four seasons in La Liga, considers his move to the Premier League as a fulfilment of his dream and becomes the first footballer from Mozambique to play in the English top flight.

Additionally, Arsenal have agreed a £10 million deal for Brentford’s Christian Norgaard, and the official announcement should be out soon. Fabrizio Romano claims that the Gunners have already reached a deal with Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres and also that the player has agreed to sign.

Tottenham have also acted early, publishing the recruiting of Kawasaki Frontale defender Kota Takai for a five-year term.

Everton have been described as being very close to Villarreal forward Thierno Barry with a fee of €35 million, and Newcastle have started negotiating with Nottingham Forest for Anthony Elanga, who is expected to complete a medical within two days. In addition to that, Sean Longstaff is also highly likely to move, as Leeds United have presented a bid of £10 million for the Newcastle midfielder.

On the other hand, Galatasaray have reportedly offered €50 million to Napoli for the signing of Victor Osimhen along with Bayern Munich, as they have sealed personal terms with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. But, the Serie A team is still waiting for more.

Last but not least, AC Milan are also ready to get Luka Modric on board in August, with Theo Hernandez moving to Al Hilal for €25 million. On the other hand, it is said that Barcelona are finalizing the signing of Roony Bardghji and still negotiating with Marcus Rashford.

The transfer market has become very active and further major transfers are likely to happen soon.
