Memphis Depay has said that he puts in his best every time he gets to play for Barca this season since he doesn’t get to play for a lot of minutes.

Depay featured for Barca in their match against Elche at the La Liga games. Robert Lewandowski put Barcelona in the lead after he scored the first goal as he received an assist from Alejandro Balde. Depay fired in the second goal after being set up by Alejandro Balde making it 2-0, Lewandowski sealed the win by scoring the third goal for Barca.

Depay hasn’t featured much for Barca due to the arrival of Paphiner and Ousmane Dembele. Depay maximized the opportunity given to him in Saturday’s match and ended up scoring for the team.

According to him, it’s quite a pity that he doesn’t get to play for a lot of minutes on the field this season, but he’ll keep taking advantage of any opportunity he gets. He is very delighted to have scored the goal.

He further praised, Lewandowski and Dembele for their outstanding performance this season. According to him, Lewandowski is very dedicated and eager to score goals, and they are privileged to have him on their team. Dembele too is very committed and passionate about playing football

“Unfortunately, I don’t play a lot of minutes this season, but I’ll keep trying to take advantage of them,” Depay said after the game.

“I’m happy to score, I try to take advantage of opportunities, it’s what I do every day in training,” he added.

“He’s very committed and very hungry. It’s a luxury for us to have him on the team.”

“Dembélé has been a professional. He had slept very little today, I asked him how he was and he said he wanted to play. He always wants to play,” the Barcelona manager added.

Barcelona are currently top on the la Liga table with 16 points.
