Monday saw the beginning of nominations on BBNaija Season 9 and the possible evictions in the following days. Five sets of housemates – Beta, Chekas, DoubleKay, Wanni x Handi, and Zinwe – are now at risk of eviction, and at least one pair will be sent packing next Sunday.
This round of nominations is especially keenly contested as Biggie announced new rules for the house shortly after the last edition of the show. Another change for this series is the removal of the Custodian Challenge and the Head of House (HOH) ballot and housemate eviction vote for the four bottom pairs. Instead, viewers will now have the sole privileged to determine who should remain and who should go.
Even though the ‘Head of House’ was granted the privilege of immunity, just like before, the ‘Head of House’ does not have the privilege of ‘saving and replacing a nominated pair’.
In the new structure, members of the house will be voting out their fellow housemates but the ultimate decision will be made by the viewers.
