Bruno Fernandes, the leader on the field of Manchester United and the main performer in the squad of the Red Devils ever since he came to the club in 2019, might be on his way out with a blockbuster next summer. Saudi Arabian football club Al Nassr is reported to be poised to fork out a whopping £100 million to take him to be with Cristiano Ronaldo again.

Fernandes will be 32 at the beginning of the next season, which is a detail the club bosses are said to be taking into account while contemplating the financial aspect of their plan that lasts for more than one year.

It is also reported that not only Al Nassr are eager to pay a hefty transfer fee but in addition to that they want to make it a lot more profitable by setting up attractive friendly matches with Manchester United. The Red Devils are out of European football this season and as a result, the financial loss has been substantial, making the off-take option not to be overlooked.

In the past, Fernandes has been the key figure of Manchester United and has scored 100 goals and assisted 83 times in 298 games, as he still makes around £300,000 each week and is under contract till the year 2027. On the other hand, the transaction can open the door to fresh faces and at the same time decrease the club’s wage budget that is paid to Ruben Amorim as the club undergoes a transformation.

The Portuguese football player’s skill and flair are two things that might be hard to find elsewhere but according to news, there is a possibility of the simultaneous departure of Mainoo and Zirkzee who are allegedly discontented and hence might also leave the club.
In the meantime, Harry Maguire is going to remain as one of the squad members, but most probably silently and with less remuneration, after he managed to turn around his career under the guidance of Amorim.

The next year will be a turning point of the new regime at Manchester United. They will be deciding between options such as selling Fernandes which is likely to cause a wave of protests among the fans or perhaps causing a financial boost for the club and thus leading to a chance of a new era at Old Trafford.
