Arsenal fined by UEFA for fan behaviour during Champions League final. Gunners will have to pay up as UEFA announces fines for fan misdemeanors.
Arsenal were fined 1,500 (1,294) as supporters threw objects during Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
European football’s governing body UEFA also fined the reigning champions 10,875 (9,382) for throwing items and fined the Parc des Princes club an additional 80,000 (69,020) for setting off fireworks.

As with Arsenal, the suspension will run for two years under a probationary period. The punishment for Arsenal is another one they can’t be bothered with, having also been fined 15,000 (12,941) by UEFA following crowd disturbances during their Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid, and 2,250 (1,941) in that same tie for throwing fireworks. However, the punishments haven’t stopped the Gunners from making an improved return to Europe after years out.
Arsenal now start next season’s campaign from Pot 1, which is where you want to be after improving their UEFA coefficient considerably – the best they have done since the final loss to Bayern in 2014, although the new format means the group stages could be a nightmare nevertheless.
