Former Big Brother Naija housemate Neo Akpofure share how he rose from being a taxi driver to becoming one of the most prominent Nigerian celebrities. Neo shared this insight while reflecting on his humble beginnings in a now-controversial post on his official X account.
In the post, Neo shared a photo that he took some years ago alongside a well-known Nigerian musician known as MC Galaxy. The photo was shot about five years back when Neo was was a Bolt driver in Calabar. He narrated how he met MC Galaxy and how the encounter led into an interesting night that changed his life greatly.
“Five years ago today, I was still driving a Bolt in Calabar when I picked up MC Galaxy and his associate. He was craving bush meat and palm wine from somewhere called Atimbo. We enjoyed the meat and palm wine together before dropping them off at the airport,” Neo wrote. “Fast forward to today, I look back and see how far I have come. If I had given up on my dreams then, na me for fuck up.”
Neo’s journey to fame started in 2020 when he joined the Big Brother Naija reality show. He regressed to being an actor and model and also ventured into social media as an influencer, and has been gaining a lot of success.
