Speculations about Xabi Alonso’s future were not taken seriously by Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham, who affirmed that the whole team is in support of the coach.
The pressure on Alonso increased after a tough November when the Blancos lost the top position in La Liga and had an inconsistency in their play in all the tournaments. However, the upturn in form late in the year, which culminated in the powerful 5–1 victory over Real Betis, has lessened the tensions going into the Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Atlético Madrid in Jeddah.
Bellingham said during the pre-match press, that the players actually have no say in the matter of management, but they are definitely not the ones spreading negative vibes. The England superstar said that the team’s morale is very high and said that their strong position in La Liga and Champions League is proof that the situation is far from being a crisis.

Bellingham also sheds more light on the rumors of tension between head coach Xabi Alonso and Vinicius Junior, stating that the problems are not as bad as the media makes them out to be. He voiced his support for the Brazilian winger in getting back to form despite being on a long goal drought.
Bellingham sees Vinicius Jr as a player with the quality to take the lead and play an important part in Real Madrid’s capturing of the Spanish Super Cup, given that Kylian Mbappé is out with injury.
