A fully loaded Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus overturned on its side within the dedicated BRT lane along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway near Iyana-Ipaja.
The accident, which occurred early Friday morning, resulted in 10 casualties.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) disclosed this in a post on X, noting that the incident happened around 7:45 a.m.
LASTMA, the agency responsible for managing traffic and enforcing traffic laws in Lagos State, stated, “A fully loaded high-capacity bus overturned inside the dedicated BRT lane, resulting in 10 casualties. Emergency responders provided medical assistance, and the victims were transported to nearby healthcare facilities.”
