Renowned Nigerian comedian Ali Baba has reportedly lost access to his Victoria Island mansion following a legal dispute.
Reports from Legit NG indicate that Ali Baba and his media company, XQZMOI TV, were removed from the property at 324A Akin Ogunlewe Street after bailiffs enforced a Federal High Court writ of possession dated August 15, 2025.
The mansion, reportedly purchased in 2021 through the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) for ₦220 million, became a focal point in a debt recovery case. AMCON claimed the eviction was part of efforts to recover funds allegedly owed by Harold Expansion Industries Nigeria Limited.
Harold Expansion, however, disputed the claim, asserting that all debts had been settled. Their legal representative, Benjamin Olayiwola Sadibo, contended that the property’s sale was unjustified.
So far, neither Ali Baba nor his management has made an official statement regarding the eviction.
