Yet again, another case has been decided in favour of Nigeria’s President-elect and his Vice President-elect as a Federal High Court in Abuja had on Friday, May 26 dismissed a suit filed by three concerned individuals, to stop the inauguration of the president elect and his vice, on the ground of falsification and citizenship status in the document that was submitted by INEC.

According to the Presiding Judge, Justice Omotoso who dismissed the suit presented by Praise Illemona Isaiah, Pastor Paul Isaac Audu, and Anongu Moses, the case was frivolous and an abuse of court process, as the prosecutors had no right to file the suit. Additionally, Justice Omotoso revealed that the court lacked the jurisdiction to hear the suit, as it cannot rule over the presidential election.

With three days left to the Inauguration Ceremony, Courts have been ruling over matters regarding the presidency as earlier today, the Supreme Court had dismissed a suit filed against Tinubu, Shetimma, INEC & APC challenging the qualification of the Vice-President elect.
