Popular Nigerian socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has denied allegations from a Kenyan woman claiming he fathered her child.
The socialite asserted that the allegations are a deliberate attempt to disrupt his marriage.
A woman identified as Helen has accused the socialite of abandoning her and their alleged son, but Cubana Chief Priest has repeatedly dismissed these claims.
While appearing on the Rubbin’ Minds show on Sunday, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Cubana Chief Priest emphasised that he has never met Helen and firmly denied being the father of her child.
He claimed that the woman’s actions seem aimed at sabotaging his marriage rather than seeking justice. He also reaffirmed his love for children and his willingness to take responsibility for any child that is truly his.
He said, “Children are gifts from God regardless of how they come, and I have more than enough to take care of my children as many as possible that will come my way.”
Cubana Chief Priest described his marriage as the greatest blessing in his life, stressing that the allegations have not affected his bond with his wife.
He remarked that their relationship extends beyond marriage, as they are also business partners and close associates.
“I have a beautiful marriage; this is the best thing that has ever happened to me and if you watch the whole attack, it is on the marriage.”
When asked if he would have accepted the child if proven to be his, Cubana Chief Priest responded, “Of course.”
He expressed his willingness to take a test to prove his innocence but stressed, “but you cannot bash me this hard and expect my loyalty.”
The businessman, from Imo State, shared that the controversy has been unfolding for some time, although he is unaware of who is behind it.
The entrepreneur hinted that Helen’s motives might be dubious, pointing out that she tends to resurface only when he is in the public eye due to other controversies.
He feels this implies she has hidden intentions, rather than genuinely searching for the father of her child.
