Popular Afrobeat artiste Davido has declared his love for his father Adedeji Adeleke after the later donated millions of Naira to Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church.
On Sunday, Adeleke pledged one billion Naira to the church’s Centenary Endowment Fund in Lagos in honour of his deceased wife, Esther Adeleke. Using this platform, the donation was realized during the remembrance service of the deceased at the headquarters of the church.
The event was attended by the likes of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Dele Momodu among others. In his physical presence was Davido himself, his father, and several other political stakeholders.
In response to the viral video of the event that circulates on the social media, Davido took to IG to make a comment. “Anything Church or education, no worry, you don cash out.” “My dear father inspires me every day! Love this man right here.” he said.
The donation as well as the event which followed has been widely publicized and has put the Adeleke in good light as philanthropists.
