David Adeleke, a well-known Nigerian musician spoke about his relationship when he was featured on The Bridge alongside Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, Cindy Bruna, and François-Henry Bennahmias.
On the show, the ‘feel’ crooner spoke about his marriage and why he chose to marry Chioma commending her for standing by him during his humble beginnings.
In his own words “I met my wife before I had money, but I was telling myself if I didn’t meet her before then and now I am single, and I meet a girl, it wouldn’t be the same. I would feel the lady is talking to me because I am Davido and I have money.
“My own success is when I see people around who were there when I had nothing and they see me now, that’s the feeling, not like when you blow up and start hanging out with a new set of people. You need to keep the people that were there with you since grinding”.
He expressed how meeting Chioma during that phase of his life was crucial, as it would have been challenging for him to consider marriage now.
Notably for the fact that women might be attracted to his wealth and status rather than to him as a person.
It can be recalled that Chioma recently revealed how she met Davido at their alma-mater, Babcock, Despite meeting in 2013, they remained friends until 2015 when they quietly began their romantic relationship.
In March 2023, Davido confirmed his marriage to Chioma and In October, the couple welcomed their twins in the United States.
