The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has omitted the name of the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ado Doguwa, from the list of elected House of Representatives members.
This is coming after Doguwa, the APC candidate had been announced the winner of the February 25 election in the Doguwa/Tudunwada constituency after he had polled 39,732 votes to defeat NNPP’s New Nigeria People’s Party, Yushau Salisu Abdullahi, who tallied a total of 34,798 votes.
INEC’s omission had been made after Doguwa was arrested for his reported involvement in the murder of several persons and the burning of the Secretariat of the NNPP during the campaign season.
Meanwhile, INEC had remarked that the election result of Doguwa was a declaration that was made under duress.
