Veteran Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy has expressed excitement over his impact on Billboard’s recently unveiled list of the Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time.
The Mavin Records boss, alongside his former collaborators D’banj, Wande Coal, and Tiwa Savage, secured multiple spots on the prestigious list.
Reacting on his X handle, Don Jazzy revealed that he was behind six of the featured tracks. In his words: “Inside the 50 I sha produced 6. I try Abi I no try.”
His production credits include Wande Coal’s classics ‘Bumper 2 Bumper’ and ‘Kiss Your Hand’, D’banj’s hits ‘Oliver Twist’ and ‘Fall In Love’, as well as Tiwa Savage’s ‘Eminado’ and the Mavin all-star anthem ‘Dorobucci’.
With six songs to his name, Don Jazzy emerged as the Afrobeats producer with the highest number of credits on the list.
