A fire broke out on Sunday at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, causing panic among patients and staff.
The blaze reportedly started in an office on the third floor of the hospital’s South West 3 wing. The Oyo State Fire Service responded swiftly to the emergency and arrived to extinguish the fire.
Despite the quick response, patients and their relatives experienced significant panic, with many rushing out of nearby wards. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. The hospital management has yet to release a statement regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage, but an update is expected soon.
