Schneider Electric is urging investors and business leaders to take advantage of the fast-growing data centre market in East and West Africa by improving their skills and abilities.
In a recent announcement, the company pointed out the extraordinary growth in the African data centre market, which is providing major opportunities for resellers and distributors to enhance their capabilities and develop stronger connections with local customers.
Rohan de Beer, the End User Sales Director for Anglophone Africa at Schneider Electric, stressed the importance of boosting growth in these areas, which is being driven by rapid digitalization and rising internet usage.
De Beer revealed the company’s dedication to a new program that uses a two-part strategy to better connect with data centre customers and help channel partners take advantage of new opportunities.
“Previously, Schneider Electric relied solely on external channels for market development, which sometimes led to missed chances and tougher competition,” De Beer said. “The new plan fixes this by getting closer to customers to help shape technology choices and grab a bigger part of the market.”
He continued, “This approach lets us affect project timelines earlier while still using our usual way of getting things done. Our aim isn’t to do more direct business, but to grow our market presence and share, while helping our partners.”
As part of this plan, Schneider Electric is starting programs to give partners the skills and knowledge they need to offer advanced data centre solutions, making sure they can handle the changing market needs.
