The reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, has stated that his return to his position was predestined by God. During Friday prayers at the Kofar Kudu Central Mosque in Kano, Sanusi II emphasized that all events occur according to God’s will, which cannot be questioned by anyone. He encouraged people to maintain their faith and focus on the actions of Allah, regardless of whether they are experiencing good times or challenges.
“Whoever believes that Allah alone gives everything must take the decision of Allah wholeheartedly. No one asks Allah’s reasons for anything,” Sanusi said.
“We were told that whoever did not accept destiny is from Allah; his belief is not complete. One should be thankful in good and bad situations.
“We must believe that whatever happens to us is predestined by God, and what we couldn’t have is from Him.
“We are fast approaching Zhul Hijja which is very beneficial and we must observe supplications these days,” he stated.
Sanusi II was reappointed as the 16th Emir of Kano by Governor Abba Yusuf, who highlighted that Sanusi’s return was due to his competence, trustworthiness, and popularity. Previously serving as the 14th Emir, Sanusi was removed from the position in 2020 following a conflict with the former state governor and current National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje.
