Nollywood star Funke Akindele has made history again! Her latest movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, has grossed an astonishing N1.46 billion at the cinemas, beating her previous record of N1.41 billion with A Tribe Called Judah.
Film One Entertainment, the distributor of the movie, announced the big news, adding that the film was still raking in cash across cinemas in Nigeria and Ghana. They thanked fans for the love, noting their love for Funke has continued to push her to greater heights.
Fans and colleagues thronged social media to hail Funke and say she is hardworking, dedicated to the craft. Her colleagues and fans said she doesn’t use emotional talks to market movies but instead allows her talent to sell her.
At 47, Funke Akindele has once again shown why she’s a Nollywood powerhouse.
