According to reports, several gunmen have kidnapped Mr. Alexander Nwosu, a businessman from Anambra.

On Friday, March 31, Nwosu, also known as “Uyoo,” was allegedly kidnapped at his home in Umuchu Community, Ekwulobia, in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. It is still unclear where he is today.

It was learned that the victim, who manages a gas station and a hotel in the neighborhood known as Uyo Cool Joint, was kidnapped when he was at home with his wife and kids.

Invading the victim’s home in a Toyota Sienna car, the gunmen, numbering approximately 10, and wearing masks fired fiercely into the air for several minutes before entering the compound, according to a family source who only went by the name Ginikanwa on Monday.

Ginikanwa said that evening, his wife and kids were present when the attackers took him away after firing severely for several minutes. The strain made the entire neighborhood panic. His home is close to the Ekwulobia Police Station on the Isuofia-Ekwulobia Route.

He continued by saying that his wife hasn’t been seen since the event and her phone hasn’t been working. But on Friday of last week, the kidnappers called the family members and demanded N50m in ransom. Since then, they have not been heard from.
