Manchester City has now moved up to the top of the Premier League table after beating West Ham United 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium. This win means Manchester City continue their fine form against the Hammers, having not lost to them in 20 matches. has not lost to West Ham United in the league for 20 matches in a row.
Pep Guardiola’s team was feeling good about themselves after they made it to the EFL Cup semi-finals. Phil Foden’s pass found Haaland, who tried to score but was prevented by Alphonse Areola, but Haaland was not to be denied as he converted from the rebound.

City was in charge for most of the half; they had West Ham stuck in their own half. Haaland almost scored again with a header that was a bit off. City kept pushing. It paid off when Tijjani Reijnders scored the second goal. He scored a nice goal, lifting the ball into the net after some great passing by City.
West Ham did not do much before the break. Any hopes that West Ham had of coming into the game went away early, in the second half, when Jarrod Bowen missed a chance to score a goal. He kicked the ball wide when West Ham had a chance to counter-attack.
City had a period, but then they made sure they would win the game in the 69th minute. Haaland scored again through a loose ball inside the penalty area.
Crysencio Summerville made a move on and that made Gianluigi Donnarumma get into action to make a simple save. The game was already decided by then. Haaland came close to scoring his third goal of the game.
The win keeps City top of the table, while West Ham remain 18th and in the relegation zone, though history offers them some encouragement of survival.
