Nigerians in several parts of the country have protested against the new naria redesign policy. However, the protest took a different turn in Port Harcourt today, as hoodlums hijacked the protest and began to unleash terror on banks.

First Bank, in Churchill, Keystone bank along Aggrey Road, and First City Momentum bank, in Rumuokoro were the banks affected.

What should have been a peaceful protest by customers turned out to become violent, as it was hijacked by hoodlums, who threw stones into the bank premises, destroying several properties, and also destroying the Automated Teller Machine.

They also broke the gate of the bank and entered the premises, the banks had to run for their Lives.

Report has it that, Policemen immediately swung into action and chased the hoodlums away, and some arrests have been made.
