Memoa Ochoa, a Mexican legend has said that he’ll very best for Salernitana in Serie A. The legendary goalkeeper has joined until the end of the season, with an option of 12 months.

According to Memoa, when the opportunity presented itself to him, he knew it wasn’t something he couldn’t refuse.

He further said that it wasn’t initially in his plan, to play in the Serie A, but as soon as the world cup ended he knew he wanted a better and more competitive project.

And he is really happy to be in the club, considering his experience, he knows that he’ll be able to contribute immensely to the team.

At today’s presentation, Ochoa said: “When the opportunity to play in the Italian Serie A arose, I could not say no. The sports director (Morgan de Sanctis) explained to me what the Salernitana project is in the medium-long term and I immediately felt involved.

“I had other solutions to continue my experience in other countries and other championships, but as soon as the World Cup ended I felt the desire to marry an ambitious, interesting project.

“I am really happy to be here, I bring my experience within the group and I hope to be able to make a great contribution also to the green rectangle.”

Ochoa is in line to make his debut against AC Milan.
