Nigerian TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, has disclosed that some financially struggling celebrities secretly reach out to him for money whenever he hosts giveaways online.
Speaking during a recent live session, the content creator emphasized that social media fame does not necessarily translate to financial comfort.
He noted that many celebrities who appear well-off online often face financial difficulties behind the scenes.

“The way God did my life, I love it. It is not everyone that is posting or have followers that have money in the bank or something to eat,” Peller said. “If I am doing giveaway on Instagram or some other platforms, do you believe that some celebrities text me asking for money?”
Peller expressed shock at such requests, revealing that he ignores their messages. “I am usually surprised about it. I will be doing giveaway for fans, you as a celebrity would still want to collect out of it. Are you crazy? I saw your messages but I intentionally did not reply.”
His comments have sparked conversations online about the illusion of wealth that social media often portrays. Many users have reacted to his remarks, agreeing that followers and fame do not always equate to financial success.
Peller’s revelation comes amid his ongoing public spat with his girlfriend and fellow TikToker, Jarvis. Recently, the influencer accused Jarvis of engaging in a form of “money laundering” through her TikTok livestreams — an allegation she has strongly denied.
Jarvis, in response, threatened to take legal action against him for making what she described as false and damaging claims. The controversy between the couple has since become a trending topic on Nigerian social media, with fans divided over their feud and Peller’s latest revelation about broke celebrities.
