Kwankwaso Responds to Ganduje’s Threat of Slap, Says They Are Political Allies

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State and Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has disregarded the assault threats made by his predecessor, Ex governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Following Ganduje’s visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa on Friday evening, the ex-governor, while speaking to State House correspondents, stated that if they had met in Aso Rock, Abuja, he would have slapped Kwankwaso.

Ganduje’s statement comes in response to the recent demolition of several buildings in Kano State by the administration led by Abba Yusuf, which he accused his predecessor, Kwankwaso, of orchestrating.

In response to the threat of assault, Kwankwaso dismissed it, stating that Ganduje would never dare to make such an attempt. He also mentioned that the former governor is his political subordinate.

During an interview with BBC Hausa, Kwankwaso said, “I heard that he [Ganduje] said he would’ve slapped me, but I’m here. He was just confused. These are all my political subordinates. They wouldn’t even have the courage to look me in the eye if we were to meet.”
