Lagos Speaker Secures Sixth Term in House of Assembly Election

The Lagos State Speaker for the House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has been elected for a sixth term to represent Agege 1 constituency in the state assembly.

Dr. Lukman Adeniji, the INEC Returning Officer for the Agege constituency election the declaration on Sunday, 19 March at the Collation Centre in Orile Agege.

Eight political parties had brought in candidates for the election held on Saturday, 19 March, and from the result of the polls, Obasa had secured 17,214 votes to beat Raheem Alani of the Labour Party who had gotten 3,933.
