MTN Group Limited, a mobile phone network operator, has been malfunctioning over the night of Saturday to the next day of Sunday, disallowing thousands of Nigerian subscribers to make calls. This fiasco has caused a lot of people to hound MTN’s headquarters in many many parts of the country.

The cell phone network provider of the southeast African country said that the blocked subscribers did not do the registration of their NIN (National identification number) with their SIM cards, which is mandated by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC).

Crowds were destroying things in the four cities along with Okogbo: Osogbo, Ikeja, and Uyo were among the cities where the people that are annoyed with the carrier came together to find a solution to the problem.

The disconnection which was also the reason for the detonation of so many of the customers has been the subject of anger and disruption, as many subscribers have been blaming MTN for the trick before the demonstration against corruption. #EndBadGovernance.

Human rights lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), has leveled accusations against telecommunications companies, alleging that they are disconnecting subscribers without valid reasons. He has urged the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to take swift action to safeguard the interests of affected subscribers.
