Nollywood has been thrown into mourning after news broke that actress Sharon Okpamen died after giving birth. It has also been alleged that the Edo State princess tripped into a coma for several days before giving up the ghost.
Popular movie producer Stanley Ontop posted the disheartening message on Instagram, sharing the feeling of loss with the rest of the entertainment industry. Sharon Okpamen was an actress but also a filmmaker, an entrepreneur, and humanitarian, a unique talent that Nollywood needs to fill.
Fans and colleagues have taken to social media to express their shock and sadness. One comment read, “Those of us that have been to the labor room twice and came back don’t even know what God has done for us,” highlighting the emotional impact of Sharon’s loss. Another user lamented, “Wetin be this na ehnnnn… person wey just born … This is sad may her soul rest in peace.”
