Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Omah Lay has given a shoutout to the female fan he danced with while giving a performance on the European leg of his ‘Boy Alone Tour’ at the Eventim Apollo in London on Tuesday, February 20.
Yesterday, Omah Lay stirred up controversy across different social media platforms after he invited a female fan allegedly attending the concert with her partner, to join him on stage during the rendition of his song ‘Bend You.’
Several videos of the duo’s silhouettes posted online by concertgoers caused uproar, with a lot of netizens condemning them.
However, from recent events, it appears the Nigerian singer is not fazed by the criticisms from his latest scandal as he sent a message to the fan, expressing his love for her.
In a video now circulating on social media, British-Nigerian media personality, Shopsydoo, could be heard urging Omah Lay to give a shoutout to the fan, who he identified as Fafa.
The singer obliged the media personality. The dialogue between the two is shown below:
Shopsydoo: “Oga, give Fafa a shoutout, that’s your fan.”
Omah Lay: “Fafa, that’s her name? Fafa, I love you.”
