Reality star Phyna has stirred controversy online following her reaction to President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Yelwata community in Benue State.
The community, which was recently attacked by suspected herdsmen, reportedly lost over 200 lives.
During his visit, the President was seen meeting with some victims receiving treatment in a hospital.
However, Phyna took to X to express doubts about the authenticity of the visit. She questioned the identities of the hospitalised victims and criticised the red carpet that was laid out for the President during the visit. The BBNaija winner also claimed the images from the visit appeared doctored.
“There were no victims in Yelwata, they were all killed and burnt alive,” she wrote. “Who are those in the hospital that the President went to visit, standing on a red rug? Why are you doing a Photoshop to make us angrier? Nigeria has failed us.”
Her post has drawn mixed reactions across social media. While some users applauded her for speaking boldly, others accused her of chasing clout and not fully understanding the situation.
