Ruth, the sister of former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna, has reportedly passed away days after being involved in a tragic accident with a Dangote truck.
The news was confirmed on Instagram by the SUG president of Auchi Polytechnic, who shared a photo of Ruth accompanied by a “RIP” caption and crying emojis.
Earlier reports revealed that Phyna had publicly criticized businessman Aliko Dangote and the Dangote Group, claiming that the truck responsible for the crash was involved in tampering with the vehicle’s license plate at the request of the company.
She had expressed frustration, stating that while the businessman has wealth, he is not God.
Following the accident, the Dangote Group released a statement assuring full support for Ruth, including access to medical care and compensation. Phyna, however, criticized the company’s response, highlighting the irony of their “quick recovery” wishes when her sister had already undergone leg amputation. She also referenced the critical condition of a bike rider involved in the incident, emphasizing the severity of the situation.
The passing of Ruth has prompted an outpouring of condolences from fans and the public, as they mourn alongside Phyna and her family.
