The Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national football team who were on a tour in the United States of America have ended their tour sadly with a loss in their last match with Ecuador.
The match which was played in the early hours of Friday at the twenty-five thousand capacity in Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, ended with Ecuador winning the match with a lone goal from Pervis Estupiñán. This is the second loss of the team under the new coach, José Santos Peseiro. The team had their first loss in a match with Mexico at Dallas on Saturday, 30th of May, 2022.
The Super Eagles are expected to play the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone next week at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja. This would be the opening match for the qualifying match for the 2023 AFCON.
