Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has publicly criticized Morocco’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc, over a missing piece of luggage he claims has been unaccounted for since June 26, 2025.
In a video posted to his Instagram page on Thursday, Dakolo recounted how he boarded a business class flight from Lagos to Morocco, with a connecting leg to Freetown, Sierra Leone. He stated that he saw his luggage from his seat and was assured it would be loaded onto the plane—but it never arrived at his final destination.
“I saw my bag from where I was seated,” Dakolo said. “They told me it would be put in, and it wasn’t. I got to Freetown, and my bag was missing.”
The singer explained that he immediately filed a report, reached out via phone and email, and even contacted the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO). However, after more than three weeks, his bag is still missing.
“It’s beginning to look like they stole my stuff,” he added. “Air Maroc, please return my full luggage. It’s not just any bag.”
Popular media figure Daddy Freeze also weighed in on the matter, backing Dakolo and urging for transparency. In a video shared on his Instagram, he said, “Air Maroc, please, what is going on with Timi Dakolo’s bag?” He called on both the airline and relevant authorities to step in and resolve the issue.
As of now, the airline has not issued an official response.
